How i work

A striking image is the result of a disciplined operation. For me, that means a day to day commitment to meticulous pre-production. It’s the difference between “hoping for the best” and arriving on location with a mapped out workflow, clear safety protocols, and a deep understanding of the project’s technical demands.

I’ve spent years refining this process, managing everything from location logistics and gear manifests to the post-production delivery schedules that keep a project moving. My obsession with the craft is matched only by commitment to the uncompromising professional standards that ensure every project is structurally sound.

I take the time to understand what you need the images to do before I ever pick up the camera. That means clear communication, solid planning, and a shoot that runs properly from start from finish. I work as part of your team, not alongside it, and the focus is always the same, delivering honest, high-quality visuals that fit your brand and connect with the people you’re trying to reach.

Editorial & documentary

I approach every story by spending time in the field and getting close to the people and places that shape it. Nothing is staged and nothing is rushed, the work is built through access, research and observation so the photographs carry real context. The aim is always a cohesive visual narrative, not isolated images, giving you a set of photographs that hold together, communicate clearly and stay with the viewer.

regional & community projects

I work in partnership with councils, organisations and local groups to document the people, environments and projects that define the region. The approach is always considered and people first, building trust, working to clear objectives and producing imagery that is both authentic and highly useable across websites, publications, exhibitions, social media and future archives. The outcome is a strong, cohesive visual resource that reflects place, identity and impact.

A Date with the Himalayas — Locking in May 2027 for Everest Base Camp

In 2024, I won the chance of a lifetime, a trek to Everest Base Camp. But before the journey could begin, I lost my Grandad, the man who first sparked my love of adventure. Now, with May 2027 set as the date, this trek is no longer just a prize. It’s a tribute. A way to honour his spirit, carry his memory, and step into new landscapes with both grief and gratitude in my stride.
