About me!

I’m Scott, an award-winning and published photographer based in Essex, with a passion for using photography to tell stories, connect people and help make a difference.

For me, photography has never been simply about taking a good picture. It’s about capturing something real, the people behind a business, the character of a community, the progress of an important project, or the story behind environmental research and the issues affecting the world around us.

I’m particularly passionate about working with local businesses, community organisations and environmental projects. I want my photography to have a purpose, whether that means helping a small business showcase what makes it different, giving an organisation a stronger visual presence, documenting research and conservation work, or helping communities share stories that deserve to be heard.

Being local is important to me. I believe the people, businesses and organisations within our communities have some of the most interesting stories to tell, and I enjoy getting to know the people behind the work rather than simply turning up, taking photographs and leaving.

Away from commissioned work, I’m someone who genuinely enjoys being out exploring, discovering new places and looking for stories and moments that might otherwise go unnoticed. That curiosity naturally influences the way I approach photography.

Over the years, my work has been recognised with awards and published, but the part of photography I value most is the opportunity to meet people, learn about what they do and create something that is genuinely useful to them.

Whether you’re a local business looking to grow, a community project with a story to tell, or an environmental organisation wanting to document and communicate important work, I’d love to hear from you.

Based in Essex and available for commissions locally and further afield.
